Who Framed Roger Rabbit:
Still Got It Edition

A Black and white conversion of Who Framed Roger Rabbit with the Toons rotoscoped to remain in color.

Many directors as of late have been creating Black and White versions of their films. Either because that was their original vision (The Mist), or they just think it would look cool (Logan). Upon rewatching Who Framed Roger Rabbit, I realized how perfect it would be for the Black and White treatment. It's already wearing its Film Noir inspirations on its sleeve, so why not go all the way with it? So this is my Film Noir edit of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. However there is a twist. This is a conversion where all the live action footage is Black and White but the Toons are rotoscoped to remain in color. I liked the idea of having the Live Action in Black and White while keeping the toons larger than life. It also works thematically by enhancing the division between humans and toons. I've posted a modern trailer, as well as the theatrical trailer so you can see how it's progressing. This project is going to take a herculean amount of rotoscoping. Wish me luck!
